Hi, I’m Nidal, and I studied Math (AS and A2 Level) with Sir Shahab Yaqoob.
Math requires a lot of grunt work and practice to finally grasp complex concepts, and Sir Shahab was always willing to roll up his sleeves and do that grunt work alongside us. Because of that, I felt incredibly supported throughout the entire two years.
A common trend with many teachers is that they can get a bit lazy, often writing out half-solutions and leaving students to finish them, which leaves most of us stuck. But not Sir Shahab. He was always there to solve problems with us until the very end, demonstrating in real time exactly how to approach them. This hands-on method made understanding Math a lot simpler for all types of students.
Furthermore, the level of detail, preparation, and discipline he brings to his teaching is unparalleled. I have honestly never seen anything like it, not even at the university level. He is incredibly dedicated to his work, genuinely loves to teach, is highly knowledgeable, and deeply cares about his students. These are the exact traits that make him such an awesome teacher.
